YOUR DREAMS MAY NOT COME TRUE BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT TRUE TO YOURSELF.
At some point in our lives, we all set out on a journey to achieve our dreams. While some of us succeed in fulfilling our goals, many of us struggle because although we yearn to experience the sweet taste of success and achievement, we are not true to our own selves while trying to accomplish them. The truth is, no dream will come true if you are not true to yourself.
When it comes to our dreams, it is easy to be tempted to set aside our morals, go with the flow and agree with whatever is popular. We might think this is the quickest way to reach our destination. However, this usually leads to a dead-end with more pain and regrets, instead of salvation from our darkness. When we stray from our core values and beliefs, we often feel loss and emptiness, which makes it difficult to take the next step in achieving our dreams. When we go against our conscience, we start to deny our individuality and true potential, meaning our dreams will remain out of reach.
We also need to be honest and genuine about our dreams. For example, if we want to become a professional basketball player, but are not talented enough or allocating enough time to practice, our dreams will never be realized. We have to accept the reality of our situations and be honest with ourselves. Lies and deceit fuel our fears and limit our ability to take on any challenge.
Dreams will never come true if we do not trust our capabilities and value our authenticity. It is easy to get lost in the crowd, pretending to be someone we are not. But taking the time to listen to our innermost desires, remaining true to ourselves and believing in our own strength, are the only ways we will be able to turn our dreams into a reality.
