TO HAVE MORE IN LIFE, BE THANKFUL WITH WHAT YOU HAVE

TO HAVE MORE IN LIFE, BE THANKFUL WITH WHAT YOU HAVE.

In life, it is common to have the mentality that “more is better” or be in the mindset of “keeping up with the Joneses”. This terms refer to considering others, who have more and wishing for their lifestyle or possessions. However, the phrase “to those who have more, more shall be given, and to those who have less, even the few that they have will be taken away” teaches a lesson that is the opposite of this mentality, suggesting that the appreciation of what people currently have is the key to having more.

The concept of this principle is basically to be thankful for what an individual already possesses. Having gratitude for what is already in ones life will set one up for a greater chance at what could be in the future. Although it may be hard to be content when it appears that so many others have much more, it is important to remember that what someone has and what someone wants may not be the same things. Many times, the things people have and the things people want could conflict.

In conclusion, life is short, making it imperative to seize the moment and count ones blessings. Being aware of the principle “to those who have more, more shall be given, and to those who have less, even the few that they have will be taken away” can inspire one to be thankful for what they have in life, and appreciate the gifts they have been given. When an individual demonstrates appreciation and gratitude, they can create an environment where they can and will receive more.
