WHY I TEACH UNIVERSAL PRINCIPLES
"There is a principle on mathematics but none of error, a principle of health but none of disease, a principle of Truth but none of dishonesty, a principle of light but none of darkness, a principle of abundance but none of poverty."
In today’s world, equipped with a vast amount of technological advances and growing levels of knowledge, universal principles suggest a deeper understanding for all of us. By teaching universal principles, I believe that we can open the doors to a new way of thinking and understand how these principles are applicable to every aspect of our lives.
To begin, teaching universal principles allows us to understand the connections between seemingly disparate parts of our lives. For example, there is a principle of mathematics but none of error applies to almost anything.Mathematics is an immutable field of knowledge packed with formulas and equations that help us solve any problem that comes our way. It is no surprise, then, that there is a principle on mathematics that applies to any and all equations and formulas - there is no such thing as an error. This can be frustrating for those trying to solve equations but it is one of the main foundations of mathematics - that mistakes are impossible. There are, instead, ways to reassess an equation and attempt to solve it again, but the possibility for error disappears. This immutable principle makes mathematics a reliable field and source of knowledge.
Universal principles such as those related to health and Truth offer guidance on how to make decisions that promote wellbeing and respect, while principles on light and abundance demonstrate how to live a life of gratitude and grace.
In addition, teaching universal principles encourages empathy and compassion. By exploring how different principles are at play in different contexts, we can gain insight into how our actions and decisions affect others, which can lead to a stronger sense of community and connection. For example, by exposing our countrymen to the principle of abundance, we can make them feel more secure in facing life’s challenges and invite them to prioritize taking care of their own needs and those of others.
Finally, explaining universal principles allows us to shift the focus away from how things are and instead focus on how they can be. By teaching people how to embrace difficult contexts and face challenges effectively, we equip them with the tools to move towards healthier, higher and more sustainable versions of life. For example, by talking about the principle of light, we help them understand that they have the power to create an environment of safety and respect despite the presence of darkness.
Universal principles can be a powerful tool to help us gain a better understanding of our surroundings and engage with life in a way that is kind and mindful. By teaching these principles, we are offering our people the opportunity to become agents of positive change in the world and ensure that our collective future is one of peace, joy and abundance.
