KAMALAYAN LIFELONG LEARNING AND LIVING AN ALTERNATIVE SUCCESS SYSTEM (KLLLASS)
Success in life is an extremely complex and multi-dimensional concept. While different people interpret it in different manners, the basic principles required for success remain largely the same and need to be nurtured in individuals from an early age. However, these crucial principles are very rarely emphasized in formal school.
The education system focuses heavily on inculcating students with knowledge and facts that enable them to score well in tests and exams and gain admission in prestigious universities. This leaves very little time and space for teachers to tackle core issues such as developing the necessary mental and spiritual qualities required to face any and all hardships in life and come out victorious. The limited resources that go towards the overall development of students are used to instill discipline, motivation, and levels of competition.
The importance of character formation and personality development is often overlooked. The emphasis is on teaching students nearly outdated information which has very little applicability and relevance in contemporary society. In the same manner, spiritual principles, which can help individuals better understand themselves and their purpose, are also not taught or discussed in detail.
Therefore, this leaves an entire curriculum-shaped void in young minds. In order to succeed in life, one needs to have the strength, resilience and perseverance to face adverse conditions, take calculated risks and above all, stay true to one’s values and beliefs in the pursuit of success. These qualities, emphasized and further developed in a well-rounded education system, can pave the way for people to lead successful and meaningful lives.
I have learned the principles of Consciousness and Spirituality over the years and faithfully applied them in all areas of my life. I am like many other people, so if these principles worked for me, I feel they will also work for you, and that's why I am sharing lessons from my experiences with as many people as possible through my Kamalayan Lifelong Learning and Living An Alternative Success System (KLLLASS) videos and blogs. A new way of thinking brought about by holistic education or education of the whole person is needed to survive in this 21st Century. Never stop learning. Read a lot. They say that rich people have massive libraries while poor people have huge flat TVs.
The emphasis put on formal education needs to shift towards more integrative and holistic practices. The idea of success needs to be redefined and the psychological and spiritual knowledge and principles required for success need to be included in school curricula. This can ensure that every individual is equipped with relevant life skills and adequate mindsets to become a successful and flourishing member of society.
